Member Squad recently initiated IFMA Connect, a new member mentorship program that shows new members how to get the most out of their membership.

News Crew/PR

The News Crew provides membership with a monthly snapshot of chapter happenings. This includes communication from leadership, event advertising and updates, member/committee news, green information and educational opportunities.

Successes:  2008 Award of Excellence for Newsletter Publishing

Sponsorship Task Force

Sponsorship Task Force holds an annual sponsorship drive every January through March to give local businesses an opportunity to support IFMA Madison and promote their services.  The annual sponsor recognition event is held in June.

IFMA 2.0

IFMA 2.0's first mission was to create a new website, which you are viewing!  IFMA 2.0's goal is to provide easy access to all chapter information and promote the Madison chapter via the web.

A searchable electronic member directory was also introduced, making it simple for members to connect with other members.  Lastly, IFMA 2.0 initiated a LinkedIn page for information and idea sharing and event broadcasting among the Madison chapter members.

Birdie Brigade

The Birdie Brigade plans and promotes one of the few annual "can't miss" events in Madison.  This golf outing takes place in July and the weather is always perfect!

Programs & Tours

The Show and Go committee provides monthly programs and tours that promote the 9 core competencies as determined by the International Facility Management Association.  We utilize members and outside experts to present noon programs and arrange for evening or weekend tours of facilities in the Madison area, and occasionally beyond. The tours are educational in that they show aspects of the facilities that are not evident to the casual visitor.

Events – We meet in the fall to schedule 9 luncheon meetings and 10 tours throughout the next calendar year.

Successes – The 2011 tentative luncheon meetings and tours schedules was established at a meeting on 10-28-2010.  The planned 2011 luncheon meetings and tours address each of the 9 core competencies.

Community Crew

Community Crew committee drives the outreach programs of the IFMA – Madison chapter.  We  coordinate events which give back to our community and provide group volunteer opportunities for IFMA members.  IFMA members benefit from both in volunteering to their community, but in doing, so get to know their fellow IFMA members better as well.

We have provided local support to Habitat for Humanity, Yahara House, a very successful organization that helps people with mental illness, and a host of other charities.

Lunch Bunch

To provide a friendly and quick check in process for our members at monthly lunch and learn meetings allowing them to network in a clean, comfortable, and attractive setting.

Lunch Bunch is the team responsible for the monthly lunch meetings, which are always the third Tuesday of the month at CUNA Mutual Group 5810 Mineral Point Road (The Round Building). Our responsibilities include confirming with Programs & Tours the needs of the speaker for the month and working with the CMFG on accommodation of any special needs. Our team members check in all attendees, including members and guests, and collect the lunch fees. We introduce any guests to MemberSquad for a formal IFMA Madison welcome and to provide guests with answers to any questions they might have.
