Welcome to the home page of the Madison Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). The Madison Chapter of IFMA was founded in 1984 and its membership includes over 175 of the area's most qualified Facility Management and related Professionals. Facility Management (FM) is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, processes and technology.
In short, FM professionals manage commercial and institutional buildings such as office complexes, hospitals, educational facilities, government buildings, etc... with the goal of supporting and improving the effectiveness of the organization.
